BAKER- Of Chelsea, suddenly, October 21st. Devoted husband of Charlene (Munzing). Beloved father of Virginia Baker of Providence, Rhode Island. Dear and loving brother of Marion Furtwengler of New York, Edward Baker of Revere, Helen Christie of Lynn, Rita Sharp of Saugus, Ronald Mellen of Lynn and Frances Eggert of Lynn. Cherished grandfather of Teresa Baker of Chelsea, Erica Baker of Providence, Rhode Island, Krystle Baker and Tabatha Baker both of Athol. Also lovingly survived by his great grandchildren Mikhel Collins, Mekhi Collins, Elijah Baker, Xiarrah Baker and Desyre Baker as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in The Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA, on Tuesday morning, October 25th at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours will be held in The Smith Funeral Home on Monday evening from 7-9 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Wintrop, growing up in Revere, Bill made his home in Chelsea for most of his life. He passed away peacefully in his sleep early Friday morning at the age of 75. A truck driver for many local transportation companies, his last job was for Patriot Taxi driving handicapped children. He was a member of Teamster Local 25 and Local 379.
