Obituary

Leicester - Wilfred J. Hisoire, 76, of 82 Mannville St. died on Friday October 21 in his home after an illness.

Mr. Hisoire is survived by two brothers Dennis P. Hisoire and Robert L.P. Hisoire both of Green Cove Springs, FL; two sisters Marion T. Sawyer and Ruth E.Youmans with whom he lived both of Leicester; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.

He was born in Worcester son of the late Wilfred E. and Evelyn (Lavallee) Hisoire and served in the United States Navy for 20 years.

Mr. Hisoire worked as a police officer for the Town of Leicester for many years before retiring. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Mr. Hisoire was very involved in youth athletics in the area serving as an umpire and a coach.

The funeral will be held on Monday October 24 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a mass at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church 1154 Main St. Leicester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester with Military Honors. Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 23 from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
