Marie Francoise “Fran” G. Morin, 90, died Saturday at Oakland Grove.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Albert and Virginia (Mandeville) Morin. She remained a lifelong resident of the city.
In her earlier years she worked as a clerk at Kresge’s Dept. store, Grinnell Corp. and was later employed by Amica Corp. before retiring.
Fran was a longtime communicant of Precious Blood Church and was an avid sports fan. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, dining out and trips to Florida.
She was the sister of Rita Bourdon of Woonsocket and the late Gertrude Belliveau and Gerard L. Morin. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Fran’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff at Oakland Grove Health Care Center for their care and support for Fran over the past several years.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket.
