Fred L. Duke, Jr., 60, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral services will be private.
Mr. Duke was born November 10, 1957, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late Frederick L. Duke, Sr. & Mattie Jo Pettis Duke. He lived in the community all of his life. He was a 1975 graduate of Irwin County High School and took business courses from the University of Georgia. Mr. Duke enjoyed playing golf and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons: Stephen & Jacie Duke of Omega and Ryan Duke of Ocilla; grandchildren: Bailie Duke and Blaklie Duke; two sisters: Becky & Jerry Edwards of Ocilla and Linda Bullington of Fitzgerald and a brother, Jimmy & Angel Duke of Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Royals and a great-nephew, Johnathan Sheffield.
