Charles J. Lake, of Dedham, died October 18, 2005 at the High gate Manor Nursing Home in Dedham. He was 89. Mr. Lake was born in Dorchester and was the son of the late Scholley and Nellie (Harnedy) Lake. He has been a resident of Dedham for 49 years and was a retired instrumentation Engineer for the Charles T. Main Company of Boston.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia E. “Binky” (Fair) Lake.
He was the devoted father of Stephen C. Lake and his wife Gayle of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Brian J. Lake of MA, Lt. Col. Dawn M. Lake U.S.A.R. (Ret) of Phoenix, AZ, and Ronald C. Lake and his wife Carol of Westport, CT. Brother of Mary Mallon of Dorchester and the late Arthur Lake. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Step brother of George and Florence Lake.
