Obituary

Chicopee – Michael G. Rodolakis, age 94, passed away on Nov. 22, 2017. He was born on April 28, 1923 in Chicopee. Michael was a WWII Army Veteran. He fought in the battle theaters of Normandy, the Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge), Central Europe and Rheinland. He was in General Patron's 3rd Armored Division. After he retired from the US Armory in Springfield he worked as a carpenter for 30 years. He was a member of Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Chicopee. He leaves his loving wife Mary (Maragakis) Rodolakis of Chicopee; 3 sons, Michael Rodolakis Jr. and his wife Kelly of NY., George Rodolakis of Chicopee and Charles Rodolakis of Boston; 2 sisters Mary Rodolakis of Chicopee and Theresa Picard of NC and 2 beloved grandchildren, Nicholas and Gabriella. He is predeceased by his brothers John, Tony and Charles Rodolakis.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday Nov. 26th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday Nov. 27th at 10:00 a.m., in the Grise Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery.
