Obituary

Liberata Micozzi, 87 of Medford died Monday after a long illness in the Don Orione Home East Boston, MA.

Born in Filetto, Italy she live in the North End of Boston for 35 years before moving to Medford and was the daughter of the late Mariagiovanna (DiSipio) and Nicola DiRado. She was a Candy Maker for 20 years at the former Schraffts and retired in 1985. She loved vegetable gardening.

Beloved wife of the late Menotti G. Micozzi. Devoted mother of Nino Micozzi and his wife Pamela of Newton, Cenzina Ernst and her husband Joachim of Germany. Loving grandmother of Giancarlo M. and Marcello N. Micozzi both of Newton, Christoph, Andreas, and Stephanie Ernst all of Germany. Sister of Filomena of Italy, Angiolina of Argentina and the late Albert, Massimo, Francesco and Serafina DiRado.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 11 AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Wednesday 5 thru 8.

Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Liberata’s name to the Don Orione Home, 111 Orient Ave., East Boston, MA 02128 or the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
