Shirley (Lawson) Lomer, a longtime Newton Upper Falls resident, died Tues Oct 18, 2005 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was 72.
Raised in Newton Upper Falls she attended Newton schools. She had worked for over 20 years as a nurse’s assistant at The Stone Institute in Newton Upper Falls. She enjoyed taking several camping trips with her family throughout the United States.
Wife of the late Rudolph P. Lomer, she is survived by her children Paul Lomer of Newton, Rudolph P. Lomer Jr. of Newton, and June Lomer of Sudbury; 3 grandchildren, and her brother John Lawson of FL. She was the mother of the late Karl Lomer and sister of the late Francis Lawson.
A memorial service will be held on Fri Oct 21 at 1 PM in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St. Newton Centre. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
