Obituary

DESTIN, FL – Stanley George Lasko, 59, passed away on Oct.12, 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Margaret (Ryan) Lasko; a son, Jon George Lasko of Destin; a daughter, Ellen Collette and her husband Jody of Putnam, CT; a brother, Robert Lasko of Mass.; a sister, Joan Downey of Canton, CT; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher and Brooke Collette; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Graham.

He was born in East Hartford, CT, on March 29, 1946, the son of Stanley and Vera Lasko. He lived in Florida for the last 25 years.

Stanley worked at Eglin A.F.B. and was a member of the 919 Squadron. He worked as an avionic systems superintendent and was an integrated electronics systems specialist as a civil servant.

He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #296, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Fraternal Order of Elks in Crestview, FL, the Marine Corps League, the Sergeants Association, and the 719 Top 3 Association. He enjoyed turkey shoots, the beach, and the company of friends.

The funeral will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 21, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling hour will be from 11:00 to noon Friday morning at the funeral home.
