Judy Barboza Baker, 63, of Boston died Sunday June 9, 2002 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston due to multiple medical problems. She was the daughter of the late Maryanna (Barboza) Gonsalves and Joseph Lomba.
Ms. Baker was born in New Bedford and had lived in Boston for most of her life.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Boone of Hyannis; 2 grandsons, Terrence Floyd of Randolph and Tyraun Barboza of Roxbury; 4 sisters, Joyce Barboza Harris and Arlene Rocha, both of Brockton, Donna Bembery of Mattapan, and Julia Lomba of Jersey City, NJ; 3 brothers, James Gonsalves, Leonard Gonsalves, and Robert Gonsalves, all of Fall River; 2 aunts, Lillian Myers-Bradshaw of Brockton and Sandra Santos of Easton; 2 sons-in-law, Moses Simmons and John Boone; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.She was the mother of the late Maryanna Barboza.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford on Friday June 14, 2002 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday June 13, 2002 from 4-8 PM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
