Theresa C. Bienieki, 81, of Rainbow Road, Chepachet, died Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Overlook Nursing Home in Harrisville. She was the wife of Walter Bienieki. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in August.
Born in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Krystyna (Orpik) Rutkiewicz. She had lived in Glocester for many years. She was a research assistant at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence before her retirement. Theresa was a member of St. Eugene’s Church and was a faithful volunteer. She enjoyed skiing, skating and was an avid reader.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister Anne Hamel of Southbridge, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is the sister of the late Joseph, Anthony and Stanley Rutkiewicz and Helen Luduigson.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, November 3 at 10am am in St. Eugene’s Church, 1247 Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will follow in Acote’s Hill Cemetery.
