Her Life:

Suzanne was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Niece and Teacher who had many cousins and friends.

After graduating from Penfield, High School in New York she attended Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Suzanne lived and worked in Massachusetts for much of her life after marrying Kenneth Smith (now deceased).

She was proud of the educational institutions that she attended and often mentioned what a wonderful reputation her schools continued to maintain over the years.

Suzanne was a teacher in Brockton, MA at the Elementary School level. She was adored by her students and co-workers and continued working until she could no
longer teach due to limitations related to her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. (MS).

Suzanne’s greatest love was her family and friends. She never stopped taking an interest in what was happening in their lives. She was so proud of her two very beautiful young grandchildren and commented frequently on how smart and accomplished they were in school as well as in their outside activities.

Suzanne loved pets, especially her dog, Max. Going to the beach was one of her favorite things to do and was fortunate to spend a few summers working on Cape Cod. She loved cooking, sewing, and crafting, including learning the art of calligraphy to write her sister, Anne’s wedding invitations. Her love of crafts gave her the opportunity to create a beautiful keepsake friendship/anniversary quilt for her parent’s 35th wedding anniversary.

Another of her passions was watching sports. She especially enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. She also loved to shop and was constantly thinking about gifts to purchase for family and friends.

She had an unending spirit and will to live her life to the fullest potential. Despite the progressive limitations caused by her MS, she fought a hard battle and would never give up the desire to keep living life to the best of her abilities. She always expressed interest in, and genuinely cared about the many people she loved and that loved her. There is a void in our family that her wonderful spirit will have to fill now, until we meet again. Private services were held.
