Obituary

Robert Lesley Gragg, 83, of New Bedford died October 12, 2005 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Laura Mary (Haskell) Gragg.
Born in Seward, Nebraska, the son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Lavina (Clarke) Gragg, he lived in New Bedford most of his life before retiring to Maine and returning to New Bedford.
Mr. Gragg was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
He was formerly employed as an airplane mechanic until his illness.
Mr. Gragg served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the recipient of the Philippine Liberation Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal.
He enjoyed watching TV.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sisters, Beulah Axton of South Gate, CA and Lucille Sampson of Kuna, Idaho; 5 children, Barbara, Henry, Evelyn, William and Steven, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 39 nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Martha Gragg, Hazel Gibson, Eugene Gragg and George Henry Gragg.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 17th at 10:15 AM in St. Anthony's Church, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
