Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church Avon, at 9am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 11:15 am. Visiting Hours Thursday 3-5 and 7-9pm. Obituary Information
Mrs. Lemay died Monday afternoon at the Caritas Norwood Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Jonesport Maine, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ina (Woodward) Ramsdell. Raised in Harrington, Maine she was a graduate of Harrington High School, coming to Massachusetts to attend the Faulkner School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse. She had been employed at the South Shore Hospital as a Private Duty Nurse for many years. After leaving the nursing profession, she and her late husband John traveled extensively. She had been active in the Avon PTA and other civic organizations. She had been married to her late husband John J. Lemay for 59 years before his death last December.
She is survived by her daughter Judy J. Tabaroni and her husband Robert F. of Brockton, a special granddaughter Jill P. Tabaroni of Roslindale and many nieces and nephews.1 sister Rosemarie Palmer and 1 brother Andrew J. Ramsdell both of Maine, 4 half sisters, Lillian Shaw and Gloria Flaherty both of Maine, Joyce Woodard of Mass. and Marion Plummer of Conn. 1 half brother Everett Ramsdell of Maine.
