Joseph W Walsh of Norwood formerly of Needham, died on Thursday Oct 13 after a long illness. Born in Boston, Joseph was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army during W11. He worked for the Needham Housing Authority for many years and also managed the Speedway Gas Station formerly of Needham and Tom’s Taxi of Needham.
Joseph was loving father of Robert H Walsh of Bradenton FL, Terry J Mattoon of Wells River VT and Mark W Walsh of Mansfield. He was the former husband of Doris (Farrow) Walsh of Walpole. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 18, at 10:30 AM from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave, Needham. Internment services will be held at the Ma. National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:15 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
