Lydia Labrie, 76, of Barnes Street, Greenville, died Wednesday. She was the wife of Leo E. “Pat” Labrie.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frank and Assunta (Grimaldi) Cervini. She had been a resident of Greenville for 42 years.
She was a Key Punch Operator for Cranston Print Works and the former Industrial National Bank.
She was a founding member of the first Smithfield Brownie Troop, a member of the Smithfield Boys Club Building Committee, the Smithfield Emblem Club and the Smithfield VFW Post #2929 and Little League Ladies’ Auxiliaries.
Also survived by her children, Linda J. Simmons, Paul J. Labrie, and Nancy A. Landi-Orabona all of Smithfield, Jeffrey L. Labrie of Warwick, and Gail D. Buccafurri of Johnston, a sister, Mary Donovan of Warwick, 14 grandchildren and a brother, Albert Cervini of Bluffton, SC. She was the sister of the late Carl Cervini.
Funeral Saturday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Association of Marian Helpers, Stockbridge, MA 01263-0004.
