Ralph L. Rigney, 74, of Derry, NH died Wednesday October 12, 2005 at his home. Mr. Rigney was born in Melrose, MA on April 28, 1931 a son of the late James and Gertrude (Kruse) Rigney. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. He then served in the US Air Force. Mr. Rigney retired from AT & T where he worked for many years. He had lived in Derry for the past 12 years, formerly living in Massachusetts for many years. He was a member of the American Legion in Burlington, MA. He enjoyed playing cards, dancing and watching greyhound racing. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly (Borland) Rigney of Derry, one son, Glen Allen Rigney of Ipswich, MA, two daughters, Donna Muise and her husband James of Wilmington, MA, Deborah Johnston and her husband John of Derry, four grandchildren, Erin Muise, James Muise, Nicholas Johnston, Jessica Johnston, also several nieces and nephews.
There were no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service was held on Saturday October 15th at 1:30PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
