Maria A. (Freitas) Ramos, 51, died at home on Wednesday, October 12, under the care of Beacon Hospice after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Francisco O. Ramos. Born in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she had been a resident of Stoughton for 35 years. Mrs. Ramos was a warehouse worker for J. Baker in Canton for over 20 years. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Society. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting.
She is survived by her sister, Maria F. Amaral and her brother, Jose P. Freitas both of Stoughton. Mrs. Ramos is also survived by 4 nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 15, at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
