Lisa M. Burke,31, of 10 Walnut St., died peacefully surrounded by
her family, Tuesday, Oct. 11 at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
She leaves her parents, Paul F. & Sue L. (Dumais) Burke, a brother
Christopher P. and his wife Andrea L. Burke, a nephew Sean P. Burke, a niece
Paige M. Burke, all of Spencer, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born in Worcester, she was a graduate of David Prouty High School in
Spencer, Class of 1992 where she was Class President and a member of the
Student Honor Society. She also ran track and cross country, played soccer
and enjoyed snow skiing. She attended Bridgewater State College,
Quinsigamond Community College and graduated from Becker College in
Worcester and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. At the time of
her automobile accident in 1998, she was attending Worcester State College
for her occupational therapy license and was working as a occupational
therapy assistant at Fairlawn Rehab in Worcester where she had worked in
various capacities for 7 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary
Church in Spencer. She enjoyed playing with her dog "Jake".
The funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 13 from the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL
HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary
Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the
Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 5-8 p.m.
in the funeral home. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made to the
