Mr. J. D. "Jim" Lewis of Water Valley, died in Baptist Memorial Hospital N MS at Oxford, MS October 12, 2005.
Mr. Lewis was born in Finger, TN to the late Bryant and Mamie Lela Dickey Lewis. He was a retired Self Employed Truck Driver and a member of the Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends at visitation on Friday evening, October 14, 2005, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Officiating the funeral service will be Brother George O. Duberry and Brother David Floyd. Pallbearers are: Chris Lewis, Adam Peacock, April Lewis, Carla Lewis, Carl Lewis, Steven Lewis, Phillip Lewis, Jo Lewis, Hassie Russell and Amanda Farrell.
Surviving Mr. Lewis are his wife, Elsie Ruth Lewis of Water Valley, MS : daughters, Debbie Peacock and Patsy Marion Cosby both of Water Valley, MS : sons, Nicky D. Lewis of Adamsville, TN , William B. Lewis of Pensacola, FL and Robert C. Lewis, Sr of Water Valley, MS: sister Tommie Mayfield of Henderson, TN and brother George D. Duberry of Henderson, TN. Mr. Lewis also leaves behind seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
