MARY CHERNESKY
MYSTIC- Mary Jane (Milewski) Chernesky, 86, died peacefully Monday at The Westerly Hospital.
She is survived by her son, Tom Chernesky of Noank; her granddaughter, Karen Fitzgerald of Collinsville; her grandson, John David Chernesky of Valencia, CA; a great-grandson, Jack Fitzgerald, two brothers and a sister. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John J. Chernesky Sr. and her son, John J. Chernesky Jr.
Mary and John raised their sons in Hampton, NH where they were active in community and church affairs. They retired to Florida and Mary moved to Mystic in 2002.
Mary’s family and friends will gather for a service at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic on Friday at 2pm. Private burial will be in Hampton, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mary Elizabeth Resident Council, 28 Broadway, Mystic CT 06355.
