Obituary



CORNISH – Paul A Sargent went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and join his wife in heaven at 2330 Tuesday Oct 3rd 2017. Paul was born in Cornish on May 10th 1927 to Aldana and Nellie (Clemons) Sargent. Paul was a T-5 Technician in the Army and served in WW2 and Korea. Paul was a dedicated worker wherever he worked. Gunner’s mill after the war, 23 years at Keddy’s Steel mill, finishing out his career at a Steel mill in Portland driving forklifts. He often did seasonal work, raking blueberries, picking apples, stacking lumber in some local lumber yards to help supplement their income. He enjoyed simple things in life, gardening, fishing, hunting, spending time with family. He was predeceased by his Parents, his wife Louise B. Sargent, Son Richard Sargent. Daughter Linda Louise Sargent (Laughlin), 2 stepsons Steven Sargent, Michael Sargent, his Brothers LeRoy Sargent, Earl Sargent, Carl Sargent, Lloyd Clemons, Roland Clemons, Sisters Eleanor Burnell, Doris Woodbrey, Lucille Clemons, Bernice Johnson, Eleanor Kenny. He is survived by 2 stepsons David Sargent, Delwin Sargent, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a Sister Carolyn Marie Walker.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday Oct. 8, from 2 -3 PM followed by a 3 PM funeral service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St. (Rt. 25).
