Obituary

Frank P. Sroka, Sr., 86, of 3 Virginia Drive in the Rochdale
section of Leicester, died Saturday Oct. 8 at home.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Barbara L. (Todd) Sroka, four sons Frank
P. Sroka, Jr. husband of Linda of Salem, Ct, Steven A. husband of Thelma
Sroka of Broadalbin, NY, David A. husband of Cindy Sroka of Bethany Marina,
Del. and Mark T. husband of Elaine Sroka of Land O'Lakes, FL, a sister
Josephine Pirnik of Carteret, NJ, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by two brothers Paul &
Anthony Sroka and two sisters Stella Baranowski & Helen Dudka.
Mr. Sroka was born in Carteret, NJ son of Paul and Catherine (Brejta)
Sroka. He was a foreman at Commonwealth Gas Co. in Worcester for 30 years
retiring in 1979. He graduated from Worcester Junior College. He served in
the United States Coast Guard during WWII. He was a member of the Disabled
American Veterans, Worcester Chapter. He was a longtime Boy Scout and Cub
Scout leader. He was a member of the United Congregational Church in
Worcester were he served on many committees.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 21 at 1:00 PM in the United
Congregational Church, 6 Institute Road, Worcester. Burial will follow in
Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations
may be made to: Boy Scouts of America, Mohegan Council, 19 Harvard Street,
