
NEW BEDFORD -- Margaret A. (Weeks) Sowle, 86, of Whaler's Cove and formerly of Anthony Terrace in Fairhaven, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Clinton A. Sowle.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ella (McNeil) Weeks. She lived in this community all her life. As a resident of Whaler's Cove, she was the first person to live at the facility when it opened three years ago.
Mrs. Sowle was educated in the New Bedford School System and was an active member of the North Baptist Church.
She was a garment worker at Shepherd Clothing for 28 years.
Mrs. Sowle loved crafts, especially crocheting, knitting and sewing and was an avid bingo player. She especially enjoyed doing things for her family and was especially close to her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Clinton A. Sowle of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Valarie Lacasse and her husband Gary Of Acushnet and Clinton H. Sowle of Plano, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Alie and Katie Lacasse.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2005, in The North Baptist Church, 750 County St. New Bedford. Ma.
Visiting hours at the Wilson Chapel Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma.
