TEWKSBURY - June E. (Nettel) Baluta, 78, a lifelong Tewksbury resident, died Sunday, June 9,at the Boston Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Walter A. Baluta, whodied in 1985.
She was born in Springfield, March 17, 1924, the only child of James and Theresa Nettel. Shewas raised in Tewksbury and remained a member of the community throughout her life.
She was employed in the Bakery at Market Basket, Stadium Plaza in Tewksbury. Previously, shehad worked at Stuarts in Tewksbury, and Woolworth’s in downtown Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Lithuanian Church in Lowell, and more recently had beenattending the Holy Trinity Polish Church.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Sodality, and the D.K.L.V. Lithuanian Club in Lowell.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Jeanne (O’Brien) Baluta of CenterOssipee, NH, Raymond and Catherine (Silva) Baluta of Dracut, a daughter and son-in-law,Theresa and Raymond Lefebvre of Fitchburg, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Her FuneralMass was held Wednesday, June 12, in St. Joseph’s Lithuanian Church. Committalprayers were held at St. Mary’s Cemetery No. Tewksbury.
