Obituary

Alfred H. Laprade, Sr., 84, of 5 Greenville St., died Friday,
October 7 after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 59 years, Yvette J. (Gregoire) Laprade, two sons,
eight daughters, twenty one grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mr. Laprade owned and operated the former Laprade's Service Station in
Spencer for 50 years, retiring in 1986.
He graduated from David Prouty High School, attended Clark University, and
was a member of St. Mary's Church. He served as a radio man in the U.S. Army
during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post 138-Spencer. He was
a good and gentle man loved by his family and respected by his community. He
will always be remembered for his abundant love, integrity and compassion.
His legacy lives on. Remember him with acts of kindness.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 10 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 60
Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery,
Spencer. Calling hours are Sunday, Oct. 9 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the funeral
home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
