FALL RIVER - Alexandrina “Lil” (Souza) Raposa, 76, of 134 Brayton Ave., Fall River, MA, died Thursday at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mercias Raposa and the Longtime Companion of Charles Motta of Fall River. She also leaves one son: Mercias Raposa, Jr. of Fall River, MA, one daughter: Elizabeth Gordon of Florida, one sister: Irene Aubry of Fall River, MA, Grandmother of James Gordon, Brian and Cheryl Raposa, one Great Grandchild, and Several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Joseph Souza.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Dennis Souza and the late Mary(Martin) Souza. She was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Before retiring, she was a Sewing Machine Operator in the local needle industry. She was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Health Church.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Health Church, Cambridge St. at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
