Homer L. Burnam, 64, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Harris Johnson and Rev. Derrell Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation well be held from 7 until 9 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Burnam was born February 16, 1941 in Coffee County, Georgia, to the late Kight and Estelle Batten Burnam. He lived in the community since 1976 from Douglas. Mr. Burnam was a hard worker, retiring in 1998 from Elixir Industries and was a former employee of Rainbow Irrigation Systems. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
Mr. Burnam is survived by his wife: Mary C. Burnam of Fitzgerald; four sons: Tracy Burnam, Wesley Burnam, Robert Johns and Raymond Johns, all of Fitzgerald; 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother: Jack Burnam of Marianna, FL; two sisters: Edith Norton of Tampa, FL and Nadine Lewis of Douglas. He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Burnam, daughter, Anna Burnam, granddaughter, Caitlin Johns and a brother.
