
Kenneth Wayne Phillips, 69, of Norfolk died August 27, suddenly, at Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Ehnes) for the past 34 years.
Born in Framingham, March 23, 1948, the son of the late Carroll and Dorothy (MacLaughlin) Phillips of Maine, Ken was raised in Mendon and had lived in Norfolk for many years.
He had been a lineman for Boston Edison-Nstar for over 30 years before his retirement.
Mr. Phillips served in the Marine Corps with two tours in the Vietnam War where he attained the rank of Sergeant.
He was a member of AMVETS Post 495 and American Legion in Millis, as well as the V.F.W. in Medway. He was also a member of the Norfolk Lions Club.
Ken enjoyed driving around in his classic Chevelle.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Stephen Phillips and his wife Cindy of Milford, Patrick Phillips and his wife Tricia of Belmont and Maureen Candelario of Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
He is also survived by his siblings, Roger Phillips and his wife Terry of Maine, Nancy Ambrogi and her husband Bobby of Hopedale, Bonnie Colucci and her husband Domenic of North Carolina, Dale Phillips and his wife Bonnie of Northbridge and David Phillips and his wife Elaine of Milford.
He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Norfolk Cemetery.
