Obituary

Wayne G. French, 83, of Sebring, FL and Derry, NH died Tuesday October 4, 2005 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Mr. French was born in Samson, AL on January 8, 1922 a son of the late Carlton E. and Willie (Boles) French. He had resided in Sebring for the past 17 years, formerly living in Derry for many years. Mr. French was a US Navy WWII veteran and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was employed as an autobody repairman for many years in the Derry area.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, F. Elaine (March) French of Sebring and Derry, one son, Carlton E. French and his wife Claudia of Kearney, MO, two daughters, Patricia Lasman of Derry, Dorothy (French) Simard and her husband George of E. Derry, four grandchildren, Cristy Minzner, Shannon Hueber, Shawn Simard and Timothy French, three great grandchildren, one sister, Sue Hopkins of Montgomery, AL, also several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Sunday Oct. 9th from 2 – 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral service followed at 4:00pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 State Rt. 101, Suite 501, Bedford, NH 03110-5032 or to the charity of one's choice.
