- Mrs. Sallie Nancy Morgan Bolden, 86, died of heart failure Friday, September 30, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
She was born in Water Valley, MS to the late Frank and Nancy Person Morgan on December 5, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, William McKinley Bolden, Sr., a son William McKinley Bolden, Jr., a daughter Edna Bolden Ellis; 4 sisters: Ruthie Pruitt, Irissie Fly, Lou Davis, Fannie Lela Harris; 2 brothers: Henry Spence Morgan and James Morgan.
Living all of her life in Water Valley, MS, Mrs. Bolden was a homemaker, a Baptist, and a member of Pine Grove East Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, October 6,2005 at Pine Grove East Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Roland officiating. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial to be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include 3 sons - Joe L. Morgan of Grenada, MS, Herron Bolden, and Ned Bolden of Water Valley, MS; 4 daughters - Jeffie Reeves of Grenada, MS, Ona (Charles) Crawford of Tunica, MS, Lillion (James) Holmes of Water Valley, MS, and Helon (Gordon) Spencer of Wichita, KS; 2 brothers - Eddie (Minnie) Morgan of Chicago, IL, John B. Morgan of Water Valley, MS; 2 step-daughters - Erma Kate Hall of Bruce, MS, and Annie M. Starks of Waterloo, IA; 12 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
