Ester F. (D’Amore) Straccia, of Dedham, formerly of Roslindale, died October 2, 2005 at her home in Dedham. She was 83. Mrs. Straccia was born in Italy and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Anna (D’Amore) D’Amore. She lived in Roslindale for several years before moving to Dedham where she has resided for 22 years. Like many women of her generation , Ester devoted her time to running the family home and raising her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Pasquale Straccia.
She was the devoted mother of Pernice Pisano and her husband Constantino, and Anna M. Pisano and her husband Enrico all of Dedham and Domenico Straccia and his wife Maria of Roslindale. Loving grandmother of John, Aldo, Linda, Pasquale, Anna, Antonio and Pasquale. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Sister of Dr. Gaetano D’Amore, Carmine, Antounetta and Ida D’Amore all of Italy.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Wednesday at 12 noon. Funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury.
