Obituary

Donald Gibeau, 67, of New Bedford died October 1, 2005 at home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Louis and Margaret R. (Rosa) Gibeau, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
Mr. Gibeau was formerly employed as a counselor at the Kennedy-Donovan Center for several years until his illness.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong member of the Cape Verdean-American Veterans Association.
Mr. Gibeau enjoyed spending time with his family, his computer and helping others.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Arthur Gibeau and Walter Gibau, both of New Bedford; 3 sisters, Elsie Gomes, Irene Daniels and June Gomes, all of New Bedford; many nieces and nephews, several godchildren.
He was the brother of the late Rose Gonsalves.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, October 5th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, October 4th from 4-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
