Obituary

PAPPALARDO- Of Chelsea, October 1st, Anthony J. "Nino". Husband of the late Beverly (McAleer). Beloved father of Nanci and her companion, Ronald Giordano, Leanne and Kim all of Chelsea, Kenny of Salem, New Hampshire and the late Anthony Pappalardo, Jr. Loving step-father of Mary of Revere and Gerri of Wilmington. Dear brother of Joseph of Hampton, New Hampshire, Mary Samperi and her husband Rosario of Methuen, Josephine Silvestro of Manchester, New Hampshire, Rose Iannazzi and her husband Fred of Andover and Grace Mulligan and her husband John of Hampton, New Hampshire. Also lovingly survived by his 5 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, CHELSEA on Saturday morning, October 8th at 11 o'clock followed by a friendship gathering immediatly following the Mass at the Chelsea Yacht Club.

Tony, age 74, passed away at the Whidden memorial Hopital in Everett on Saturday afternoon after a long illness. He was born in Lawrence, the son of Alfio and Maria Pappalardo. He attended Holy Rosary School. A carpenter by trade, after his marriage to Beverly in 1952, the moved to Chelsea. As a young energetic carpenter, he worked for many general contractors in the Boston area. He later became semi-retired, doing handyman work for friends and family. He was active in the Chelsea Yacht Club and spent most of the winter months in Hallendale, Florida.

It was his wish that there be no calling hours. Ashes will be received by his brother and sisters and buried with his parents at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.

Expressions of sympathy in Anthony's name may be made to the American Cancer Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
