Rose Marie Chines, passed away at her home on Wednesday evening, September 28, with her family by her bedside. She was ninety-four years of age.
Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Carmela (Silvestro) and Salvatore Fazio. Formerly of Medford she and her late husband Frank settled in Stoneham in 1971.
Rose was devoted to raising her family, she enjoyed cooking, holidays and spending time with her grandchildren. She shared a particularly close relationship with all her family and was dedicated to her faith.
Surviving are her two children, Maria Chines of Stoneham, Francis Chines and his wife Patricia of Amesbury. Her loving grandchildren Justin and Meghan Chines. Two brothers, Salvatore Fazio of Norwell and Joseph Fazio of Tewksbury. Also many nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, she is predeceased by four sisters, Anne DiMare, Josephine Cerullo, Zena Scimeca, and Sandra Monaco. Also one brother James Fazio.
Her funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, on Monday, October 3, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patricks Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
Visiting Hours at the funeral home are on Sunday, October 2, from 4 thru 8.
