Obituary

John J. Welch, 83, of Epping, NH died Thursday at the Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH.

John was born in Lawrence, MA where he grew up and was educated, graduating from Lawrence High School in 1941. He had lived in the Lawrence and Methuen area until moving to Epping, NH 16 years ago to be with his daughter.

He served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He was a Truck Driver for Mid Cape Center in Dennis, MA. He was a member of the American Legion in Methuen, MA.

John loved the ocean and spent many years camping on the Cape with his wife and children. Playing 45’s and watching his grandchildren grow up were favorite pastimes. John was a hard working man who lived for his wife and children. He will be sadly missed and happily remembered.

Shaun & his wife Donna Welch of Salem, NH
Patrick & his wife Janice Welch of Londonderry, NH

Daughter: Carlene & her husband Randall Wells of Epping, NH

11 Grandchildren: Michael & Cailee Welch, Nathaniel, Caitlin & David Welch, Kelcie & Jake John Patrick Welch, Tammi, Rebekah, & Maggie-Leigh Wells, Second Lt. Shane & his wife Kelly Wells

Great Grandson: Isaac Randall Wells

A Funeral Service will be Monday at 10AM at Pleasant Street United Methodist Church, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 3-7PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
