CHELMSFORD: Marion Blanchard (White) Henderson, age 103, a resident of Andover for over 102 years, died Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She was the wife of Alexander H. Henderson, who died November 5, 1988.
Born in Andover on October 5, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Ina Lord (Baker) White.
Mrs. Henderson attended Andover schools and graduated from the former Punchard High School.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bookkeeper by the Tyer Rubber Company of Andover. Mrs. Henderson previously worked for her late husband, who was an Andover builder and developer.
She was a lifelong member of the West Parish Church of Andover.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of the former Andover Grange # 183 and Friendship Pamona # 39.
She enjoyed mineral hunting, gardening, braiding and hooking rugs.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Gertrude B. White, Winthrop K. White, Sidney P. White and Charlotte F. Carter.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, October 1st , 12 Noon – 1 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by her Funeral service at the funeral home.
