Charles H. Hale, Jr., 75, died peacefully at his home on Monday,
Sept. 26, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years Joyce L. (Yonkosky) Hale, a daughter
Lizbeth F. Patterson and her husband Richard and their daughters Chloe and
Hannah of Auburn, another daughter Jennifer L. Hale and her husband Andrew
J. O'Connor of Shrewsbury, a son Charles E. Hale and his wife Diann and
their children Austin, Cole and Sophia of Rutland, another son Thomas C.
Hale and his wife Kirsten and their children Victoria and Matthew of
Scarborough, Maine, two sisters Eleanor Milosz and Frances Stakun both of
Worcester, several nieces, a nephew and great nephews. He is pre-deceased
by a sister Elizabeth Dudula of Worcester.
Charlie was born in Worcester, son of Charles H. and Catherine (Carr)
Hale. He graduated from the former Worcester Boys Trade High School as a
draftsman, attended Worcester State College and Central New England College.
He had worked as a Project Manager, Estimator and Construction Cost
Consultant at F.W. Madigan, Stafford Iron Works and retired from Auciello
Iron Works. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers during the
Korean Conflict. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Leicester
Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Services will be held Friday Sept. 30 at 2:00 PM in MORRISON-MORIN
FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be at the convenience
of the family in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be
held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in
Charlie's memory to: Peter M. Black, M.D. research fund for Hydrocephalus,
