Obituary

AUBURN___Edward A. Bachuszewicz, 83, of Auburn, died Friday Sept. 23 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Wanda M. (Gonszowski) Bachuszewicz; two daughters, Maureen A. Bachuszewicz and Elaine T. Bolduc both of Auburn; a sister, Wanda Bien of Millbury; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Mackenzie and Cameron and several nephews. One brother and one sister died before him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of Francziszek and Veronica (Palczewski) Bachuszewicz and has lived in Auburn for 50 years.

Mr. Bachuszewicz worked as a clerk 15 years for the Worcester County Sheriffs Dept. at the Worcester County House of Corrections. He retired in 1993.

Edward was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of Southworks Post 3657 Veterans of Foreign Wars Worcester. He was also a member Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Worcester, the White Eagle Association, the Retired State County and Municipal Employees and the Worcester County Deputy Sheriffs.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday September 27 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday Sept. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m.
