STERLING-Nancy L. (Cowan) Flagg, 71, of 26 Osgood Rd. died Monday, Sept. 26 at home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, James M. Flagg; a son, James M. Flagg, II of West Boylston; three daughters, Dianne L. Reardon of Coventry, VT, Lorrie R. Provencher of Sterling and Patricia D. Erickson of West Boylston; a sister, Patricia Johnston of Canton, a grandson, a granddaughter, and one great grandson.
She was born in Northhampton the daughter of Charles W. and Marion F. (Forbes) Cowan and graduated from Leominster High School. Nancy participated in the Miss Universe Pageant in 1954 as Miss Massachusetts.
A memorial service will be Sunday, October 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 N. Main St., West Boylston. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
