Arthur W. Campbell age 81 of Salem, NH, died Tuesday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA
He was born in Cambridge, MA, grew up and was schooled in Somerville, MA. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 46 years, formerly of Dorchester, MA.
Mr. Campbell was a retired draftsman for General Electric in Somersworth, NH. He was a US Air Force & Army veteran, serving in the Invasion of Normandy on Omaha Bach in World War II. He was a member of the VFW Salem, NH Memorial Post 8546, and the American Legion Post 63 in Salem, NH. Mr. Campbell was a former member of the Salem Budget Committee, and served 20 years in elective offices for the town of Salem, and enjoyed computers.
He is survived by his Wife Alice (LeBlanc) Campbell of Salem, NH
2 Sons: Robert D. & his Wife Georgia of Dover, NH
James A. & his Wife Paula of Milford, NH
1 Daughter: Nancy A. & her Husband James Gaudette of Mason, NH
7 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren
Calling hours will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 from 10AM to 12 Noon, followed by a funeral service at 12 Noon at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH
