Obituary

Patricia L. (Crowell) Glynn, 67, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Sunday, September 25. She was the wife of William J. Glynn, Sr. Born and educated in Boston, Mrs. Glynn was a resident of Brockton for 31 years. Mrs. Glynn was a Paraprofessional for SPED in the Boston Public Schools for over 30 years before retiring in June, 2003. She was a member of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) AFL-CIO and the Boston Teacher’s Union. She was a building rep. at the Murphy School in Dorchester for 15 years. Mrs. Glynn was a delegate to AFL-CIO for Mass. Federation of Teachers (MFT) and American Federation of Teachers for over 10 years. She was a member of the Paracouncil for 20 years and received the Para of the Year in 1986. Mrs. Glynn was awarded the Distinguished Service of MFT in May, 2003 and the Living the Legacy Award from AFT in July 2002. In her free time she enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Glynn is survived by her sons, William J. Glynn and his wife Karen of Franklin and James P. Glynn and his wife Suzanne of Brockton. She was the Nana of Ryan, Tyler, Paul and Ashley and the sister of Rita Crowell of Brockton, Richard Crowell of CA and the late George Crowell.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton on Friday, September 30 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 28 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s name may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Danvers, MA 01923. Interment will take place at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
