Anne (Borawski) Lewonis, a lifelong resident of Northampton, died Sat Sept 24, 2005 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Born in Whately, MA she was the daughter of the late Feliksa and Anthony Borawski.
Mrs. Lewonis worked for a number of years at the Hotel Northampton as the assistant auditor. She was a member of the St. John Cantius Women’s Club and a volunteer at Cooley Dickinson Hospital for many years. She was an avid bridge player and a talented baker.
She leaves her devoted husband Alfred J. Lewonis. She is survived by her daughter Roberta Lewonis, son in law Robert O’Connor and granddaughters Jordan and Kendra O’Connor all of Needham, her brothers Felix W. Borawski of Northampton and Anthony W. Borawski of Ft. Pierce FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs Sept 29 at 10 AM in St. Joseph Church Needham. A visiting hour will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham prior to the mass from 9 until 9:45 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Northampton at a later date.
