New Bedford, Mabel (Pacheco) Rogers passed away September 23, 2005 at Blaire House, after a long illness She was the Wife of Edmund Rogers for 60 yrs. And the Mother of Geraldine Easter of Winthrop, Maine, Kenneth Pacheco of Mattapoisett and Sandra Roberts of So.Dartmouth Sister of Arthur Pacheco of No. Dartmouth, Donald Pacheco of New Bedford, Lorraine Sousa of Wareham and Deceased Brothers Manuel, Albert and Edward Pacheco. She is also survived by 6 Grandchildren,8 Greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rogers was born in in New Bedford a daughter of Manuel and Josephine(Pacheco)Pacheco. She formerly worked as a Teachers Aid at the Lincoln School and also as a Housemaid for Gratia “Topsy” Montgomery. Mrs. Rogers loved to travel and also love to dance and was a dance teacher at one time
A Memorial service will take place at Seamen's Bethel Thursday October 13,2005 at 10 AM with a Brunch to be served at Century House in Acushnet after the service.
