Obituary

SALEM— Robert M. Dee, 85, of 7 Loring Hill Avenue, formerly of Worcester and Marblehead, died Sunday, September 11th in Grosvenor Park Nursing Center. His wife, Cynthia B. (Boman) Dee died in 2003.

He leaves 3 sons; Richard Dee of Acton, Joshua Dee of E. Dover, VT and Justin Dee of Bolder, CO; a daughter; Rachel Dee of Bolder, CO; a sister; Margaret O’Hare of Rutland; 3 grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Michael S. and Elizabeth F. (May) Dee and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of the Holy Cross. Mr. Dee was a WW II Navy veteran. He owned and operated Seaboard Chemicals Incorporated in Salem, where he worked as an organic chemist, until his retirement. Mr. Dee was an avid bird watcher.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Audubon Society, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements which were private.
