Obituary

WORCESTER – George P. Dalianis, 78, of 485 Grove Street died Wednesday, September 21 in Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital after a short illness.
His wife of 55 years Lucy A. (Deforge) Dalianis died in November of 2004. Mr. Dalianis is survived by a son Paul A. and his wife Ann Dalianis of Worcester; 3 granddaughters Erin, Kelly and Maura Dalianis; a sister in law and brother in law Shirley and Daniel Taras of Tenants Harbor, ME; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a son Mark A. Dalianis who died in March of 2001. He was born in Worcester son of Peter Dalianis and Sylvia (Rinfrette) Arrouquier. Mr. Dalianis was raised by his mother and step father Fred Arrouquier.
Mr. Dalianis graduated from Clark University and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy on the USS Perkins. He worked for the Wyman Gordon Co. in Grafton for 36 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243 where he was a past Exalted Ruler, the Knights of Columbus, and Immaculate Conception Church.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 24 in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street at 10 AM. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Worcester Lodge of Elks c/o Scholarship Fund 233 Mill St. Worcester, MA 01602.
