Obituary

HILLSBOROUGH, NH—Theodore L. ‘Ted’ Rivet, 96 years old, a former longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died Wednesday morning September 21st, at the Hillsborough House, in Hillsborough, NH. He was the husband of the late Doris A. (McAloon) Rivet, who died in August of 1998.

He was born in Lowell, on April 25, 1909, a son of the late Pierre G. and Dina (Sigman) Rivet, and was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception Grammar School. He attended St. Joseph’s High School.

Mr. Rivet was employed for over 44 years as a Plumber by the J.C. Curry Plumbing Company. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and held membership in the Holy Name Society of that parish, the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local #12, The New England Adventurers Club, Saints Memorial Medical Center Men’s Guild and the CMAC Club.

Surviving him are a daughter: Mary Lea Rivet, of The Villages, FL; three grandchildren: Jennifer Heller, Melissa Rivet, and Theodore J. Rivet; six great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the father of the late Theodore Rivet, and brother of the late Paul Rivet and Marie Rivet.

There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Saturday, September 24th, at 10 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Oblate Infirmary Fund; P.O. Box 419; Tewksbury, MA 01876.
