Darren J. DeAndrade, 52 of Dartmouth died May 26, 2017 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Asia M. (Lopes) Silva of Dartmouth and the late Sylvester DeAndrade, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. DeAndrade was formerly employed as a track and field coach for over 30 years at Old Rochester Regional High School, New Bedford High School and University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. DeAndrade was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his mother; 2 sons, Sgt. Kyle DeAndrade, U.S.M.C. and his wife Brittney of Monterey, CA and Sean DeAndrade of New Bedford; a brother, Derek Silva of Tucson, AZ; 4 sisters, Debra Ramos, Diana Holley and Aja DeAndrade, all of New Bedford and Darlene Middlebrooks of Flint, MI; his friend and mentor, Steve Gardiner; several aunts and uncles including Claudio "Tom" Cardoza, Jr.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
His visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 2nd from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
