Eleanor M. (Gage) Cummings 90, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family at her side, Friday May 26, 2017 at her home following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Cummings, Jr.
Born March 2, 1927 in Waterbury, Vermont a daughter of the late Harris and Eva (Cavanaugh) Gage, she was a former longtime resident of South Attleboro before moving to Franklin.
She was raised and educated in Vermont and was a graduate of Becker Junior College. Eleanor was a homemaker, who was devoted to her family.
Eleanor enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
She is survived by 2 sons, Ted H. Cummings and his wife Brenda of Glastonbury, Ct, Greg M. Cummings and his wife Ann of Webster, New York, 3 daughters, Donna M. Morrill and her husband Dr. Jeffrey Morrill of Falmouth, Mariann O’Boyle and her husband Ed of Franklin and Nancy G. Colberg and her husband John of Franklin, a brother Sherman Gage of Waterbury, Vermont.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.
Eleanor was the sister of the late Joseph Gage.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass Saturday June 3rd, at 10AM in St. Mary Parish 1 Church Square, Franklin.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
