Udilia Agnes Macelus of Mattapan passed away on Monday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 81. Udilia was born in Cayes in Haiti. She was the third child of Louis Rosemond and Telcius Marcelus. She spent her time working as a re-vendor to support and put her five children Mireille Etienne Mailes, Jean H. Desruisseaux, Joseph V. Desruisseaux, Marie Angloe Desruisseaux, Jean Claude Desruisseaux to school. She was always one to share with others anything she had. On August 8, 1985 she was migrated to the United States by her daughter Mireille. Udilia then began to work two years later for Unicco cleaning company, and did some babysitting jobs so she could file to bring her other four children she had left behind. Udilia will be remembered as a woman that was full of life, she loved music, dancing, cooking, sharing, always laughing, always wearing her hat. Along the years after she retired she enjoyed spending most of her time at the casino to play her slot machines. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend that we all will miss deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale on Friday May 26th from 7-9 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning May 27th at 10 am in Saint Angela's Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan.
Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery Roslindale, Ma.
